Mitotan: inoperable, functional and non-functionalAdrenal cortical carcinoma, adrenal hyperplasia and tumor-induced hypercortisolism.
Mitoxantrone tablets: effective for adrenocortical carcinoma that cannot be surgically removed or has distant metastases. The objective effective rate was 34% to 61%, and the median remission period was 6 to 7 months. For functional adrenocortical carcinoma, the symptoms of hypercortical hyperfunction can be alleviated, the tumor shrinks, and life is prolonged. In addition, it can also be used for adrenal hyperplasia or tumor-induced Cushing's syndrome (cortisolism).

【Dosage】
Mitotant: The daily dose for adults is 1 to 6 grams (3 to 4 servings), and can be gradually increased to 8 to 10 grams per day.
Mitotant tablets:
1. 6 to 15 mg/kg per day, divided into 3 to 4 times orally, gradually increasing from a small dose to a maximum tolerated dose, the range of which varies from 2 to 16 g per day, usually 8 to 10 g per day.
2. If an adverse reaction occurs, reduce the dose until the maximum tolerated dose is determined. The treatment should continue until the clinical effect occurs. After the treatment, it is changed to 2 to 4 g per day, and 4 to 8 weeks is a course of treatment. If the maximum tolerated dose is still invalid for 3 months, the treatment is stopped. Treatment should be performed under the direction of a physician familiar with the drug.
